With everything that we are called to do each and every day, and the many times we fail at doing things correctly, it is easy to feel like we aren’t enough. Whether it be that we aren’t good enough, don’t accomplish enough, aren’t beautiful enough, on and on the list could go. The truth of the matter is that we are enough. Just as we are.
Somehow we think we have to do it all in order to measure up. We can’t fail at anything and perfection is the answer to everything. Many times it is these unrealistic expectations that brings us to the place of not feeling like we are enough.
Sometimes people make us feel like we aren’t enough. Whether intentional or not, words and actions do hurt, and they can bring us down. What people say or do toward us doesn’t determine our value, their words and actions are not where we need to look to discover our worth.
God’s Word Says You are Enough
God created us in His image.
Gen. 1:27 ~ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
We are daughters of The King.
Rom. 8:16-17 ~
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The Holy Spirit is in us.
1 Cor. 3:16 ~ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
We are the work of God.
Eph. 2:10 ~ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We are accepted and beloved.
Eph. 1:6 ~ To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
He’s not finished with us yet.
Phil. 1:6 ~ Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ…
The truth is this…
God made you just as you are. He isn’t finished with you. You are enough because you don’t stand alone. God is by your side. His perfect strength is there when you are weak. (2 Cor. 12:9)
You are enough.
No one can take any of that away. God’s Word is truth and it’s all there.
