One common desire all girls have is to be treasured by their fathers. I was very blessed to be daddy’s little girl and I still am. My daddy will always hold my heart. Being a daughter is special, having a man to look up to is a true blessing indeed.

Unfortunately not all girls are as blessed as I was. For some girls their dads aren’t around, they don’t desire to spend time together, or they simply struggle to connect with each other. These scenarios break my heart because I know how very important it is for a girl to have a man to look up to for guidance, protection and love. You Are the Daughter of God

Though our earthly fathers are truly wonderful, they are not perfect and they will let us down at some point in our lives. This is why it is so important to remember that God is our heavenly Father and we are His daughter! We are the daughter of The King, which means we are His Princess! A dream of every little girl is to be a princess and when we have accepted Christ as our Savior that is exactly what we are!

God, is our Father and we are His daughter! What a wonderful blessing this truly is! I don’t believe we even begin to grasp the power that goes behind it!

Romans 8:16-17 says…

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

As the daughter of God, we are His heirs! Though we may suffer through life here on earth, we will also be glorified with Him! To be glorified with The King of Kings?? Oh, what an amazing and humbling thought!

Why does God choose us as His daughters?

1 John 3:1 tells us…

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…

It is God’s love that He chose to bestow on us that allowed Christ to come to earth, die on a cross to provide salvation for us all. That same love from our heavenly Father is what chooses to call us His daughter! Oh, that we would truly understand and thank Him for the depth of His love. It is our heavenly Father’s love that will see us through any heartbreak, life struggle, or agony we might face. The love of The Father is second to none. It comforts our hearts, strengthens our mind and guides our steps.

Being a daughter of God means so much for us. Whenever we need a daddy’s ear, He’s always there. When we need to be held and told that we’re not alone, He’s ready to hold us close. When we need to be instructed, He will do so in perfect love. Being His daughter is a blessing that we truly need to thank Him for each and every day.
