Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in this crazy busy world we live in and yet somehow amidst all of the people we know and see, we still feel alone. How is that possible? From our family to friends, co-workers and church members, to sports team parents, we are surrounded by people no matter what stage in life we’re in or where we live. Though we come into contact with different people each day, loneliness is something that we all feel at some point in time. It’s just part of being human. Held By The Almighty God

God’s word tells us over and over again that we are held by God. This truth is so important and yet during our lonely times we often forget it! When we find ourselves crying out and wishing that someone would just hold us we need to remind ourselves of these truths!

Isaiah 41:13 “For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Deuteronomy 33:12 “The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.”

John 10:28 “I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

Isaiah 40:11 “…he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”

What beautiful truths God’s word holds for us! We are held by Him, close to Him throughout each day, what an amazing gift this truly is to us!

Knowing that we are held by the very God that created us in our mother’s womb, who created the world with mere words and who sent His only Son as a sacrifice for us on Calvary…what a humbling and amazing thing it is to be held by the Lord God Himself!

The world would have us believe that we walk this earth alone, living for only today and what pleases us, but we have a future and a hope! So, in the midst of the days when we are discouraged and feel alone, may we remember that the very God who reigns in heaven and is preparing a place for us to join Him, He holds us each and every day and NO ONE can ever take that away!
