Today I’m closing out another part in my being real series and as with my relational abuse series, I’m closing it out this relationship finale with a brand new vlog. While I do my best to write from my heart, I pray that hearing the words God placed on my heart for you will encourage you and cause you to seek Him in the midst of your difficulty.
No matter what mistakes you’ve made in your past, God’s love, grace, mercy and forgiveness are available to you. They are new every day and nothing can take them away.
Throughout this series I’ve shared through experiences I’ve had in my life that were difficult to deal with, experiences that most people tend to keep silent about…especially Christians. Choosing to not talk about your difficult past can be based on one or many different reasons such as; fear of the judgement that may be passed upon them, the pain that accompanies talking about them or being worried that people won’t believe them. Yet, it is important that we share our life experiences, both good and bad, so that people know they aren’t alone, so that unbelievers know that we make mistakes too, that we as Christians don’t believe we are better than they are. The truth is we aren’t, we have accepted the same salvation and forgiveness that is offered to them. The mercy and grace that we receive from the Lord can be theirs too, if they only believe in Jesus Christ and the salvation His death on the cross of Calvary provides.
Will you join me in sharing your story? The good, the bad and the ugly? To show the world that they are not alone in their struggles and that Christians aren’t perfect?
Make a difference. Don’t be silent. Change the world. For our kids. For our futures.
There are some things we would like to forget and other things difficult to forget – but there are also some things that need to be shared to encourage others. Thank you for sharing your lovely post with us here at “Tell Me a Story.” https://letmetelluastory.blogspot.com/
Yes indeed. Those things we’d like to forget God often wants us to remember so that we can teach and/or encourage someone else along their life’s road. Blessings!
